Donna
Christner-Lile, NCC, RPC
Donna
is a very energetic Life Transitions Counselor with a successful
mid-life career change.
As an empty nester she found herself with extra time and feeling
a little burnout from real estate and mortgages. Her choice to go
back to school for her Masters in Counseling was the perfect antidote.
Donna enhanced her counseling knowledge and skills by facilitating
caregiver support groups for UCSF, and Interning at the City of
Fremont Senior Services. Following completion of her Masters she
earned the coveted credential of National Certified Counselor (NCC).
In 1998, she successfully combined her experience and education
from two life careers into the best planning resource for Boomers,
Caregivers, and Elders, her nationally trade registered practice
Christner-Lile Consulting(sm) .
It is from first hand experience Donna knows how life can change
unexpectedly. During her own career change she became a caregiver
to her 92-year old mother. She was able to experience first hand
what many sandwich generation individuals go through to balance
life and work. She knows from experience to search for the good
aspects of unexpected change. She says the time with her mother
was the most wonderful nurturing experience of her life, a time
they will both always cherish.
In 2006 she authored the best selling book
"Aging-In-Place:
Living safely in your own home until you are 100 Plus",
which is available online. She also became the Executive Director
of, Counseling Life Transitions, a non profit organization affiliated
with Tri Valley Community Foundation. She is a member of the American
Counseling Association, and a California Registered Professional
Counselor.
With increasing numbers of boomers facing caregiver stress,
downsizing, and retirement issues, as well as elders choosing to
remain in their homes; the need for an experienced counselor like
Donna who can find the resources to help is now.
Donna is here to help you find the song in your heart
when you have forgotten the words.
